In December 2008, the exhibition titled "... ανέφερα εγγράφως...: Treasures of the Historical Archive of the Archaeological Service" was inaugurated at the exhibition space at 22 Psaromiligkou Str. The exhibition featured 90 historical documents. It was complemented by a printed catalog, audiovisual material, and an educational program. The exhibition catalog included studies on various topics significant to the history of archaeology. These topics included the founding of the Archaeological Service, archaeological legislation, excavations by foreign archaeological schools, underwater archaeology, collections and museums in the 19th century, the first international archaeological conference, Byzantine antiquities, the Archaeological Service during the 1912-1922 period, and the protection of antiquities during World War II. These themes were explored during the public’s first introduction to the wealth of the Archaeological Service’s archive. The exhibition lasted from December 17, 2008, to March 20, 2009. In 2010, the exhibition was transferred for a few months to the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki.
