Symposium Dedicated to the Archaeologists Apostolos S. Arvanitopoulos, Evangelia Deilaki-Protonotariou, and Io-Maria Zervoudaki

In 2018, the donation of the personal and professional archives of the late archaeologists provided the occasion for organizing a Symposium, which took place on June 29 at the amphitheater on 33 Agion Asomaton Str and 21 Psaromiligou Str.

The German Archaeological Institute of Athens and the Activities of German Archaeologists in Greece 1874 – 1933

In 2016, members of the Historical Archive of Antiquities and Restorations participated in a conference co-organized by the German Archaeological Institute in Athens and the Benaki Museum. The proceedings of the scientific meeting, which took place on December 12-13 at the Benaki Museum and the German Archaeological Institute, were published in 2019.

In memory of Panagiotis Efstratiadis (1815-1888)

In 2015, in collaboration with the Hellenic Epigraphic Society and the Association of Greek Archaeologists "Ios," a symposium was organized in Athens in honor of Panagiotis Efstratiadis, the General Inspector of Antiquities, on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of his birth (1815). The proceedings of the symposium were published by the Department of Archaeological Archives and the Hellenic Epigraphic Society. The symposium took place at the amphitheater on 33 Agion Asomaton Str. and 21 Psaromiligou Str.

From Manuscripts to Digital Recording

In 2015, on the occasion of World Archives Day on June 9, the Directorate of the National Archive of Monuments presented the new digital system for documentation, management, and display of archival material, which was implemented under the program “Call 41”. The event took place at the amphitheater on 33 Agion Asomaton Str. and 21 Psaromiligou Str.

Epirus 1881-1945: Archives and Antiquities

In 2015, in collaboration with the Ioannina Antiquities Ephorate, the Historical Archive of Epirus (GAK), and the Society for Epirus Studies, the Directorate of the National Archive of Monuments participated in a Symposium on February 18 in Ioannina. The proceedings were published in 2017 by the Society for Epirus Studies.

In 2014, a three-day scientific conference was organized in Athens, and was hosted on October 22-23 at the amphitheater of the Archaeological Society at Athens and on October 24 at the amphitheater of the University of Athens "Alkis Argiriadis." The proceedings were published by the Organization for the Management of Cultural Resources (formerly T.A.P.).
